The tent

The tent In 1944, the number of prisoners increased by 70,000 women. On the camp compound, a 50 m long tent was built, into which 3,000 prisoners were squeezed. For several months, they were forced to live there on naked earth and a thin layer of straw, without water or sanitation or medical care. Most of these women died of starvation and the cold during the winter of 1944/45.
